You will be able to save some money and energy by keeping your home cool the natural way.

You can save quite a bit in the summer if you use a ceiling fan and keep the sunlight out of your home. If you use an AC, see to it that you set it at 75 degrees and only make it cooler if the heat becomes unbearable.

By using compact fluorescent bulbs, you can save as much as 75% in energy use and these bulbs will last ten times longer. Not only are you going to you save money, but compact fluorescent bulbs will not fill up the landfills. If you just changed five lightbulbs, you can save as much as $30 a year. The most effective thing that you can do is to just flip the lights off when not in use. We all leave the lights turned on so we must make a conscious effort to make it work.
If people make it a habit to turn the lights off every time they go out  of a room, then they can do  it for all  electronic gadgets.
